Gowda declines to join issue with Laloo

NEW DELHI, April 26
Former prime minister H D Deve Gowda today declined to join issue with
Janata Dal National President and Bihar Chief Minister Laloo Prasad
Yadav who in an interview to a Delhi-based English daily has launched
a frontal attack on him.
''I have no comments,`` Mr Gowda said when contacted by Deccan Herald
for his reaction to the outbursts of his party chief.
The former prime minister, who was aware of the interview to be
published on Sunday, appeared to have discussed the turn of events
within the Janata Dal with Human Resource Development Minister and
senior Janata Dal leader S R Bommai when the two met at Mr Gowda`s
