III. Psycho-Congestion

Subjective: pt. reports intermittent explosive fits of anger and frustration, short-term memory loss, and hostility towards all
Objective: pt's hands and head are bruised as though he had been beating them against a wall. Also the cerebral overload valve is completely blocked by a waxy substance.
Assessment: Mental congestion
Plan: Extended medical leave from work, the source of the pt's mental overload.


This condition occurs in all ages and in both sexes. The following are the conditions under which the degeneration occurs: sleepiness, weariness, on awakening from unrefreshed sleep, and boredom. All these conditions have in common a lowered state of critical consciousness. Any significant decline in critical consciousness may lead to psycho-congestion.
